Safety Features of Our Work Platforms

Our forklift baskets are equipped with several safety features to ensure your security when using them.

• Our forklift cages have the dimensions 1.2m x 1.2m x 1.0m, and also have a 2.2m safety screen.
• With a load capacity of 250kg, they are designed to carry up to 2 people.
• These work platforms have a 40mm square tube construction with a powder coated paint finish for maximum durability.
• Our forklift safety platforms have internal handrails, two harness anchor points, fitted safety chains, skid-resistant floor plates, inward-opening self-closing doors and toe boards on all sides.
• These safety cages are patent pending and manufactured to meet Australian Standards AS2359.1.

Additionally, our safety harness is an energy absorbing 2.0m lanyard that is particularly suited to the hire industry and has a fall/arrest rating of 136kg. Please note that while these safety harnesses should only be used with our work platform safety cages, they are not mandatory for safety cage use.

Safety Measures You Can Follow to Ensure Your Safety When Using Our Safety Cage Equipment

There are a few measures that you can carry out to ensure your employee’s safety when using our work platforms. Firstly, it is recommended that you perform a test lift before it is properly used and a person enters the safety cage. This is to verify that it is secure and safe to use. Secondly, the person using the safety cage should already be inside before it is raised and/or lowered. Where possible, they should avoid climbing in and out once the safety cage has been raised, unless it is an emergency. Lastly, the user should always be attached to an anchorage by a safety harness when inside the forklift cage. The only exception to this is if the safety cage is fully enclosed. By following these safety measures, you can ensure the safety of all employees when using this safety cage.
